why I put the * **'s throughout certain words..and phrases...that are common....

If someone were to go*ogle a specific word or phrase......it would keep them from stumbing upon our blog...hopefully.:) Just a little FYI...:)

I want to ride the Du*mbo ride....

L was so excited when we walked into W*al-Mart...

"Mommy, I want to ride the Du*mbo ride!!!"

...ok, so it wasn't the same Du*mbo ride she rode at Di*sney W*orld....but she still liked it!

"Is it going to go up and down?!"

She was very cautious about getting in it....she remembered how the Dum*bo ride went up and down......this one just wiggled from side to side....but hey, what do you expect for 50 cents?

And, her new thing "piggy-tail braids"...as she calls them....

she asked M ..."Daddy, what hairstyle do you think I should have to go to dinner?"

Dadddy gave her an answer...but it wasn't the one she was looking for....so,

Piggy-Tail-Braids...here you go.;)

Mon. 6/29

Well, it's that time again...

SwIm*MinG LeSs*Ons

L decided she "didn't need them"...but we decided she did.:)

She started on June 29th...and will go for 2 weeks...

Mon-Thurs. 10:00-11:15

Parents are not allowed to stay, but can come back and watch the last 15 minutes....

she wasn't a a big fan of this last year, but has done fine so far.:)

I am looking forward to seeing how much she has learned at the end of next week.:)

She told me "I'm going to tell them I don't want to go underwater!"

and she did tell them.....

and, she has gone underwater...

seems she's not as in charge as she would like to be.:)

YIKES..Mommy turns 37!

Mon. 6/29

I truly have to stop and think how old I am at times....but, I'm officially 37!

YIKES...that is just crazy!!

The day started out as usual....hurrying to get L to her first day of swim lessons in Alvin....I was sssooo excited to drop her off and go to No*rma's Bake*ry to treat myself to a Germ*an Chocol*ate Ca*ke Ba*ll...yummy...and, they were closed!! : '(

After lessons, we came home...M and L went to pick up lunch...

and I went to see a movie..

.a grown-up one even...

"My Sister's Keeper"

We went to Jo*e's Cr*ab Sh*ack for dinner....while we were there...L said,

"Daddy, you need to take me to that birthday party store, by where I get my shoes...so I can get Mommy a card and pinata and plates!"

SO, they did...and L was so excited...M said she was very diligent in what she picked out..and knew exactly what she wanted to get me..

4 balloons...and the specific colors..and even told them the string colors

Before we had cake....L had activities planned..

we had to do the limbo...

then "bust" the pinata..

then pull the strings on the pinata

I was so tickled...while L was whopping the pinata...hard...she got M's hand and fingers a few times...it was pretty funny!!

After the games...I had to wait while they lit the candles....then it was time for cake...

My baby did a great job planning my party>:) HHmm..wonder where she has picked up those party planning skills?!!

L kept doing her "Kung F*u Pa*nda-Imag*ination Mov*er" moves...still not sure what she was talking about...but, she was entertaining herself while we watched the auction.

This was an awesome float...very bright...and even had music playing.

Towns from all over enter a float...the parade lasted about an hour and a half..and was very pleasant...thanks M for the great spot.:)

whew, she didn't freak about the parade clowns this year.;)

We actually were pretty "cool" this year.

M had decided he would find a spot..and "man" it so we didn't have to sit in the blistering heat like we normally do...we had a nice shady spot..that we lucked out finding...all around the parade route, people had the same idea....I dropped him off and helped set up the chairs and around 8:40.....then went back ......the parade started at 10:00....and we were pretty shaded the whole time....so, now we know...M is the parade spot holder for next year.:)

It's never too hot to build a fort...

Thurs. 6/25

Since it's been 100+ degrees this week...

we've avoided going outside unless we've absolutely had to...

it is just too too hot!!

I can remember destroying our living room and sectional couch growing up....

.so I could build a really big fort......

so,I though L might like it too...

we made a mini fort today...

L was SSSOOO excited!!

inside her "house"
we used 2 of our dining room chairs....and blankets to drape over as the "roof" and "door"....but, she proceeded to gather every blanket we own to use in her "house"

she told me she didn't need to take a rest in her bed...

she had a new "house" she was going to rest in.......

okay...so, did I mention that I had a major headache today...trying to quit the Dr. Pepper addiction.....I convinced L that we needed to take a rest..and she could rest in my bed with me.......

did I mention that I fell asleep for about 20 minutes...

and when I woke up.......well....

she was in here and had added 2 extra chairs...

every girl needs a bigger house..

and every momma obviously needs a little nap here and there.:)

(and at least 1 Dr. Pepper a day!!)

What's with the hat?!

L has been wearing this hat for the past 2 days..I think it belongs to one of her baby dolls..but all her dolls are naked...so I don't know what is what anymore....

NO..she doesn't take a pacifier..or wear a pull-up
(we do have an emergency stash that she has had to revert back to a few times at night lately..ggrrr)
