Jasmine?

OK..so these pictures are out of order...but I think you get the gist...I got everything set up for us to carve our pumpkin...I knew L was going to be so excited...we have been talking about carving our pumpkin all week.....I cut the top off, she opened it up..........and ran off to play...
"Mom..it's too goopy, and I don't want to get goopy hands....you do it!"

now I understand the Tim McGraw vs. Indiana Jones pumpkin

L and her "scary face"...just realized...she was wearing her Jasmine t-shirt

RIGHT!! The package said it was as easy as 1,2,3..just start with #1, and carve as you go!! HA!!!

checking out the "goopy" insides

"PUMP-UPS"

So, our neighbor has an inflatable yard pumpkin...L is so excited when it is up at night! She has developed a little pumpkin envy!
She has been telling us she needs a "PUMP-UP".....not just one night, but several nights...over, and over, and over...as a matter of fact, every time we see a "pump-up" in someones yard.:)
SO, M said to go ahead and pick one up for her today...yes, today..the day before Halloween!!! SO..that was my mission..
Garden Ridge-sold out
Big Lots- only The Headless Horseman..he was creepy
Wal-Mart-nope
Dollar General-nada
Family Dollar-SCORE!! The Jack-o-Lantern one..:)
CVS-zilch
Walgreens- Hooray..The ghost!

and, thanks to Aunt Rhonda for calling around Alvin...and meeting up with me(ok, so we had lunch together too) we also have a black cat to add to our collection...we just need to get a power strip or another extension cord...we'll post a picture of that too!
I finally completed my mission around 12:15..came home..set them up...pumped them up...took a deep breath, wiped the sweat off my brow...and realized, yes, you will go to the ends of the earth to make your child's dreams come true.:)
L SCREAMED when she saw them...so, it was all worth it.:) Even the $40 worth of gas used today.:)
MENTAL NOTE...buy Christmas "Pump-Ups" this weekend!!
Let's just hope our neighbors don't have a turkey inflatable...

All she wants to do is dance, dance, dance....

NORMALLY, but she chose to chew her nails the whole time!.:)

L has been learning a Halloween tap dance. She has been so excited about it too! The girls were allowed to bring their costumes to put on right before the dance. The parents were invited to come in the last 15 minutes of class to watch the routine..apparently all of the girls had a bit ot stage fright..they all just wanted to look at the audience and smile!>;)

Wed. 10/29/2008

Ta-Da!

There are 4 girls in L's class...and 2 teachers...she has learned a lot!!

The girls are 3 and 4...and too cute!!

L looked at me during the dance, I motioned for her to take her hands out of her mouth...she grinned, shook her head no, and kept chewing....the teenage years are going to be fun!>:)

NO...she's NOT a "Hooter's Girl"!!!

Poor L, she threw up Friday evening, and has been running fever since...I have been cleaning and organizing all week and weekend...Apparently we're both sick!.:) L has wanted to be right by my side..so while I was cleaning out her closet...she was in her room with me! She started giggling...and said, "I'm going to see if these fit me!" ...these being Build-a-Bear Clothes!!

After almost wetting my pants...we took a few pictures...My goal was for one "normal" picture...but of course, she had to "pose"...
Work-It!!

Ham-bone!!

this was the "normal" picture I was going for...after about 10 shots!

P.S.- I"m still not buyin' the..." Really, they have great wings!"...uuhhhhuu...

Dewberry Farm 2008!

Saturday, October 18

A girl on a mission!

We ended up with 6 baby pumpkins...L would pick one up, check it out..good ones she kept...."gross ones" she threw down.......no baby pumpkins were harmed in the process....

Way down yonder in the pumpkin' patch!

Take your pick!

...and, we ended up with 2 big pumpkins.......the pumpkins were 50 cents per pound......and the baby pumpkins were $1.00 each......we came home with $30.00 worth of pumpkins..YIKES!

This is my favorite part ....seeing how much L has grown from year to year...and yes, she struck the pose on her own!

HAY you!! On the hayride on the way to the "Pumpkin Lights Stroll"
Dewberry Farm: Corn Maze and Family Farm Fun!

Famous Faces...one of the many sections ...and L's favorite section..

PRINCESSES!!!!!!!!!!!!...Cinderella, Ariel, Snow White, Mulan, Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty AND their cohorts.....Prince Charming, Malificent, etc..and yes, she ssssssscccrrrrrrrrreaaaaaaammmmmedddddd when she saw them...so excited! the pics didn't turn out too well.:(

George W. Bush....there was also an "America" section.......Twin Towers, 1776, Statue of Liberty, Liberty Bell, etc.

L was so excited that she recognized "Statue of LIVER-EE" and "Taco Bell"

OK...we thought this was Tim McGraw...a few of the people around us were saying Indiana Jones.......who do you think it is?

Zooper fun day!!

L and I had a great day together at the zoo on Friday!
1. NO HEAT!
2. NO FIELD TRIPS...NOT ONE!!!
3. NO WORRIES!
We got there right at 1:00 and didn't leave until 6:40!!! We've never stayed at the zoo that long.....we saw EVERYTHING..and some things twice..but we had a ball!!! PRICELESS!!..and had dinner with M afterwards! LONG but fun day!

Grizzly Bear looking at L

L looking at the Grizzly Bear

Don't we all have a picture with this seal?
The zoo was decorated for "Zoo Boo"
Carousel...that we rode twice.....another big deal.....L has never wanted to ride it on our other zoo trips...I guess DisneyWorld broke her in!
Loved brushing the goats..and laughing at their poop...crazy girl!!
what? a goat..on a bench?!
The posing thing continues....she actually hopped up on these blocks and TOLD me to take her picture....and struck her pose....yes, we're in trouble!

Hayride and Jumpin' Fun!

"I'm big now, so I'm not scared!"
It looks like L has finally overcome her fear of bouncer/moonwalk inflatables.........FINALLY....How cute is she jumping around in her tutu!....red cheeks and all on the hayride to prove jumping was fun! If you ever need a tutu, http://www.perfectdaybouquets.com , and yes, they are tutu cute!!!!
